October is breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women and there are an estimated 2.6 million breast cancer survivors in the United States alone. That’s why I’ve joined Patricia Nash Handbags and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) to take a stand against this disease and show our solidarity for women all over the country. This week, you can bid on a gorgeous leather Patricia Nash Saddle Bag signed by me! As an added bonus, the winning bidder will receive a few of my handbag must-haves too - including Skullcandy Ear Buds and Cinnamon Altoids (among other things!). Proceeds of the final bid will be donated to BCRF so we can help prevent breast cancer and find a cure in our lifetime. The auction only lasts seven days (ending October 28th) – so hurry up and start bidding! Click the link below for more details. http://www.ubid.com/auctions/product.aspx?auctionid=906467835

The ER at 3am , THAT is an interesting place to be. Feeling much better now, thanks to my husband's best friend who's an ER doc. I've been living in a dental nightmare for 10 months. I'm getting back on track though, I hope. I've had too many detours this year due to dental issues. I'm finally in great hands and being well taken care of. Last night was wonderful, performing to help raise money for the Autry Museum and earlier in the day performing a few songs to help raise money for the cats and dogs at living-free.org Needless to say, I'm resting today. Thank you all for your support and understanding. The last 10 months of pain are hard for me to wrap my head around. I'm sure it's difficult for you all to understand too. Let's just pray I'm on the mend. I'll see you all on the road very soon.

What a beautiful night last night at the William Hill Winery! Thank you VH1 Save Music and all of the genuinely sweet fans for showing me such love and for joining force to fight to keep music education in public schools. I wouldn't be the performer I am without the exposure to music at home and in school on a daily basis. It was an honor for me to be a part of last night's event.
