Powerful New Music Video For New Song “Give”
September 11, 2011

Video Raises Awareness of the Issue of Homeless Teen's Across America

LeAnn Rimes has released a powerful and moving video for her new song "œGive" from her upcoming album Lady & Gentlemen out September 27. The soaring, moving ballad showcases LeAnn'™s signature voice wrapped around inspirational and uplifting lyrics.

"'Give' is a song with a message about how if we want love, kindness and happiness in our lives, then we need to give some of that back," LeAnn says. "I believe that message needs to be shared with the world."

LeAnn wanted to create a video for the song that that tied into its message, and raised awareness of an issue that is very important to her homeless teens across America.

Sadly, 13 homeless kids die on the street every day. In Chicago alone, where the video was filmed on location with youth there, there are approximately 25,000 homeless youth. For the video, LeAnn partnered with StandUp For Kids who'™s mission is to help homeless and street kids. Every day, in cities across the country, their volunteers go to the streets in order to find, stabilize and otherwise help homeless and street kids improve their lives. The video includes several teens participating from Chicago's own StandUp For Kids program.

"œMy life is forever changed from this experience," shares LeAnn. "One thing they all said to me is no one looks them in the eye when they see them on the streets, so there'™s a deep loneliness there and a feeling of almost not existing. I will now always look anyone who'™s homeless in the eye and smile. That smile could make their whole day."

This is absolutely an Amazing Video, I cannot watch without tears! You inspire me, this shows so much about who you truly are. There are way to many who just turn their heads to this and think others are not as good as them. I admire this more so, because while some are busy trashing you and your happiness, you are working & really making a difference in people's life! Keep it up, you are so amazing & great fans!

Saw your performance on America's Got Talent. What an awesome video it would make if you would incorporate Silouettes in the video for this song!

Dear Ms. Rimes-Cibrian, I work with a company called You and Who that donates clothing and meals to organizations that help people in need or who are experiencing homelessness, including those that help women and children, as well as troubled or runaway teens. We work with 32 cities across the U.S., and Chicago was one of the first cities we went to with our mission. Specifically, in Chicago, we work with Breakthrough Urban Ministries, Lincoln Park Community Shelter and Primo Center for Women and Children. We love what we do and find our work so fulfilling. It's wonderful to hear about others who are giving back and bringing awareness to such important issues within our own borders in America. We'd love to send you one of our shirts to wear and would be happy to make a donation of another shirt to a shelter of your choosing on our behalf. Thank you for your great work and efforts to help so many who need assistance. Katie
