Rimes reinterprets classic country songs notably performed by men, among them songs by Waylon Jennings, George Jones and Merle Haggard. Each song has been rearranged and reinterpreted, Rimes says, from a woman's perspective with the intention of introducing them to a new audience. She gave her fans a taste of the album last year when she released her cover of John Anderson'Âs 1983 hit Swingin', a favorite of her youth. Rimes one new song, written by Sonya Isaacs and Connie Harrington, is the ballad "Give."Â
